I was at the park this afternoon sitting at a picnic table and I looked up at the sky and I saw the tops of the trees and the sun shining through the branches. I think our lives look a lot like the tops of these trees. Some areas are thick and it looks like there is no light, you can't see the sky at all, other areas are thin and you can see some blue and the whiteness of the clouds. I looked at those areas as different times in our lives where either we are struggling, or getting through something and there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel...
And then there's that one area that the sun shines directly through. Our area of hope. The sky in the background is God's presence, always there. The sun shining through is Him letting us know He's got us. Be encouraged.
