I watch you as you slide into bed and under the covers at the end of this long day. Your head touches the pillow and you sigh as you close your eyes and drift off to sleep.

During the night I watch over you as you sleep. I know your thoughts, your hopes, your dreams ... I gently brush the hair away from your face as you stir a bit.

You awake to start your day. So much to do. Work, places to go, Family ... And so your day begins. I watch your expressions throughout the day, but as you put up a front I know your heart is heavy.

It's late afternoon and you finally get a break. You find a quiet secluded place to sit. You lean your head back and all of a sudden you are overwhelmed with emotion. You close your eyes and tears begin to fall. It's been so hard. The worry, the loss, the rejection, the loneliness... I sit beside you and catch your tears in the palm of my hands and they settle where my scars are. I know what you are feeling all too well. My heart breaks with you, for you...
