Well, I'm back from my vacation. I have to tell you I had what was probably the best vacation of my life. No fancy cruise trip, no tropical paradise, but what it did entail was spending time with the 3 most important people in my life. My Heavenly Father, and my earthly mother and father. During the day I would help my dad work in the yard. We tilled the garden, we cut down trees, we piled branches, we planted onions. Off and on during that time my mother and I would talk. We talked about our family history, we talked about relatives, we talked about God. (my father was also included in those conversations when he wasn't out using his chainsaw). They showed me where they lived when they were young. They took me to the Iron ore museum so I could see some Michigan history. They took me to presque island where they used to take us when we were kids to see the deer and other animals that were roaming the island. There was no hurry to go anywhere. We never really planned anything we just went or did. At night when we all went to bed I spent time reading my Bible and talking to God. I had a lot of things I needed to get straightened out with Him.
I am home now, and I already miss that time with my mom and dad. But because of the time spent there with them I was able to come home refreshed and ready to begin again. I will continue to spend time with my Heavenly Father at night before I go to bed. That also keeps me refreshed and ready to begin each new day He gives me.
I might just have to start planning my vacation for next year. A cruise maybe? or a tropical paradise? No, I think I will go to the same place I went this year. I don't know how anything else could be better then that.
Thank you Mom and Dad for the wonderful time!
